1. Acceptance of terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Beaucam mobile application ("Beaucam", "the app", "the Service"), operated by us. By downloading, accessing, or using Beaucam, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
2. The service
Beaucam is a personal transformation journal that uses your device's camera to capture face, body, and skin scans, and computes personal, baseline-relative progress scores to help you see and stay motivated by gradual changes over time.
3. Eligibility & accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old to use Beaucam. If the laws of your country require a higher minimum age for use of apps like this, you must meet that age instead.
- You must create an account using Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In to use most features of the app.
- You're responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it.
- You agree to provide accurate information (such as age, height, and weight) so that your progress scores are computed correctly.
4. Subscriptions & billing
- Beaucam offers a free tier with limited scans, and a paid subscription ("Beaucam Pro") that unlocks full scan history, scores, and metrics.
- Beaucam Pro is offered as monthly, yearly, or lifetime purchase options, billed through Apple's In-App Purchase system.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings.
- Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase, and your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- Prices are displayed in your local currency at checkout and may vary by region. Prices may change from time to time; we'll provide notice of any change before it applies to you.
- Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple's refund policies — we're unable to issue refunds directly.
5. Your content
"Your Content" means the photos, scans, and any other information you submit to Beaucam. You retain ownership of Your Content. By using the app, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you (for example, computing your scores and showing your progress history).
We do not use Your Content to train third-party AI models, and we do not sell or share Your Content for advertising purposes.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Beaucam for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
- Upload photos of anyone other than yourself without their consent.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the app's underlying models or source code.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
- Attempt to circumvent subscription or payment mechanisms.
- Use the app to harass, harm, or exploit yourself or others, including in ways that could encourage disordered eating, body dysmorphia, or unsafe behavior.
7. Health & results disclaimer
Beaucam is a self-tracking and motivation tool, not a medical device or a substitute for professional medical, dermatological, or psychological advice. Scores are relative to your own baseline and are intended to highlight subtle personal changes, not to diagnose, treat, or assess any medical condition.
- Individual results vary, and Beaucam does not guarantee any specific outcome, timeline, or physical change.
- If you have concerns about your health, body image, or skin, please consult a qualified healthcare professional.
- Beaucam is not intended for use by anyone experiencing body dysmorphia or disordered eating; if this applies to you, we encourage you to speak with a healthcare provider before using progress-tracking features like this.
8. Intellectual property
The Beaucam app, including its design, branding, scoring methodology, and underlying software, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license to use the app as intended, these Terms don't grant you any rights to our intellectual property.
9. Termination
You may stop using Beaucam and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, misuse the app, or for any other reason at our discretion, with or without notice, to the extent permitted by law.
10. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
Beaucam is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that scan results will be perfectly accurate.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory local consumer-protection laws in your jurisdiction provide otherwise.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you through the app or by other reasonable means before the changes take effect. Continued use of Beaucam after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
