Beaucam ("Beaucam", "we", "us", or "our") is a personal transformation journal app that uses daily face, body, and skin camera scans to help you track gradual changes over time. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Beaucam app, how we use it, and the choices you have.
By creating an account or using Beaucam, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
2. Information we collect
Account information
- Name, email address, and profile photo provided through Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In.
- A unique account identifier used to link your data across devices.
Profile & goal information
- Gender, age range, height, and weight entered during onboarding.
- Your selected face and body goals (for example, slimming or skin-health goals).
Scan images and derived data
- Photos captured during face, body, and skin scans.
- Facial and body landmark coordinates and computed ratios (such as jaw width, cheekbone ratio, or symmetry scores) generated from your scans.
- Daily scores, streaks, challenge logs, and progress history.
Purchase & subscription information
- Subscription status, plan, and transaction history, processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system and RevenueCat.
- We do not receive or store your payment card details — these are handled entirely by Apple.
Device & usage information
- Device type, operating system version, app version, and language settings.
- Basic usage data such as feature interactions and crash logs, used to improve the app.
3. Scans & biometric-adjacent data
Beaucam's core feature is analyzing photos of your face, body, and skin to compute personal progress metrics. Facial and body landmark data derived from your scans may be treated as biometric or health-adjacent information under certain laws.
- We use scan data solely to compute your personal, baseline-relative progress scores and to show you trends over time.
- Scan data is never used to identify you to third parties, sold, or used for facial-recognition purposes outside the app.
- You can delete individual scans or your entire scan history at any time from within the app.
4. How we use information
- To create and maintain your account and sync your data across your devices.
- To compute your progress scores, insights, streaks, and challenge history.
- To process subscription purchases and manage your Beaucam Pro entitlement.
- To personalize onboarding, goals, and in-app messaging.
- To maintain the security and integrity of the app and diagnose technical issues.
- To communicate with you about your account, updates, or support requests.
6. Storage & security
- Scan images and computed metrics are stored locally on your device.
7. Retention & deletion
We retain your account and scan data for as long as your account is active, so we can continue to show your progress history. You can:
- Delete individual scans at any time from the log or progress screens.
- Request deletion of your entire account and all associated data by contacting us (see Section 12).
Once you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data and scan history from our active systems within a reasonable timeframe, except where we're required to retain limited records for legal or accounting purposes.
8. Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 12.
- You can review and edit your profile and goal information at any time in the Account tab.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple ID account settings.
- You can disable camera or notification permissions at any time through your device settings, though this may limit core app functionality.
9. Children's privacy
Beaucam is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
10. International transfers
Your information may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country of residence. Where required, we take steps to ensure such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you through the app or by other reasonable means before the changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
